The medal is found in the "Saints Medals" section of the website #722. (click the #722 to go directly there) The centre used is of St. Michael on one side and the Guardian Angel on the other #276d.
Raphael is one of the seven great princes, or archangels. His name in Hebrew signifies “God has healed”. His special mission is to cure men’s ills, to assist in spiritual matters, to help and protect travelers, to arrange happy meetings and to protect family life. One of his offices in regard to the sick and afflicted is to obtain grace to accept sufferings patiently and meritoriously. We can become acquainted with St. Raphael by reading the Book of Tobias (or Tobit) in the Old Testament. There we find Raphael befriending Tobias and assisting him in a variety of difficulties and dangers as a result of prayer. We learn that God Himself assigned him to this loving service, for when Raphael finally identified himself to Tobias and his son he said:"...when I was with you, I was there by the will of God" (Tobias 12:18).

Since we are all strangers and pilgrims upon earth and stand in greater or lesser need of St. Raphael’s aid, let us not fail in the many necessities of life to beg his assistance, guidance and protection.
