Origin and Information:
Chaplet of the Infant of Prague

The centre is a colour picture of the Infant of Prague and is item #286e. The Infant of Prague medal is in the Stainless medals section of Saint medals, and is item #775.
The devotion of the chaplet of the Holy Infant Jesus was revealed to the Venerable Sr. Margaret of the Blessed Sacrament, a Discalced Carmelite nun who died at Beaune, France on May 26, 1648. The Divine Infant made known to Sr. Margaret that He would grant special graces to those who practice this devotion. As a sign of His approval, He showed her the chaplet shining with supernatural light.

This chaplet includes three Our Father beads to honour the Holy Family and 12 Hail Mary beads in memory of the 12 years of the childhood of Jesus.

The beads chosen here are purple for royalty, but any colour is acceptable.

Method of Recitation:
Optional Novena Prayer
With your heart filled with love and gratitude for all the Infant Jesus has accomplished for your salvation, devoutly recite His holy chaplet in the following manner.

1) While meditating on the goodness of the Infant Jesus, whose image is portrayed on the medal, pray:
Divine Infant Jesus, I adore Your Cross, and I accept all the crosses You will be pleased to send me. Adorable Trinity, I offer You, for the glory of the Holy Name of God, all the adorations of the Sacred Heart of the Holy Infant Jesus.

2) On each of the three beads is the invocation:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. Our Father...

3) On each of the 12 beads:
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. Hail Mary...

4) To complete, recite the Glory Be... and Holy Infant Jesus, bless and protect us. Amen.

This short chaplet is often used as a novena as well. It can be prayed on 9 consecutive days or at the same time each hour for nine consecutive hours.

There is also the following prayer that can be substituted for the chaplet to use as the novena. It is not required for the chaplet.
