Homage of Adoration to the Paraclete, in Honour of His Seven Gifts
Chaplet of the Holy Ghost, 7 by 7

The colour picture medal set is found in the "Chaplets" section of the website #2215. (click the #2215 to go directly there)
It is sad to realize, and indeed only too true, that the Holy Ghost does not mean much in the spiritual life of most Christians. Those who are genuinely devoted to Him are rather scarce.

That is, undoubtedly, a wide, a very wide gap in our Christian life. We are thereby deficient in light and sanctity.

Let us react! It is never to late!... Here is a practical suggestion as to a simple, yet beautiful way of honouring the Holy Spirit and drawing His sevenfold Gifts upon us.

Let us endeavor to instil, in the very first place, the love of the Paraclete, as a strong and doctrinal devotion suitable to the choicest amongst pious souls.

Let us, therefore, form the praiseworthy habit of reciting the Chaplet which is proposed here, as a homage to the Holy Spirit.

Father Mateo.

Method of Recitation:
1) On the first (large) medal pray: The Apostles' Creed

2) On the next (small-Annunciation) medal pray: The Glory Be

3) Next small medal (Decent of the Holy Ghost) pray: The Our Father

4) Next small medal (Assumption of Mary into Heaven) pray: "Father, Father, send us the promised Paraclete, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen"

At the centre medal:
*** Annouce the mystery

5)First Mystery

Let us honour the Holy Ghost and adore Him who is Love Substantial, proceeding from the Father and the Son, and uniting Them in an infinite and eternal charity.

6) On each of the 7 beads the prayer is: "Come Holy Spirit, Fill the hearts of Thy faithful and kindle in them the fire of Thy love!"

7) At the end of the 7 bead set, pray: "Send forth Thy Spirit and they shall be created. And Thou shalt renew the face of the earth.
Let us Pray;
O God, who didst instruct the hearts of the Thy faithful by the light of the Holy Spirit, grant us by the same Spirit to be truly wise and evermore to rejoice in His consolation. Through Christ our Lord. Amen."***

Each decade or set of beads to follow the format detailed above between the *** and ***.

Second Mystery:

Let us honour the operation of the Holy Ghost and adore Him in the Immaculate Conception of Mary, sanctifying her, from the first moment with the plentitude of grace.

Third Mystery

Let us honour the operation of the Holy Ghost and adore Him as He fecundates the Virgin Mary in the Incarnation of the Word, the Son of God by His Divine nature, and the Son of the Virgin by the flesh.

Fourth Mystery

Let us honour the operation of the Holy Ghost and adore Him giving birth to the Church on the glorious day of Pentecost in the Cenacle.

Fifth Mystery

Let us honour the operation of the Holy Ghost and adore Him dwelling in the Church and assisting her faithfully according to the Divine promise, even to the consumation of the world.

Sixth Mystery

Let us honour the wonderful operation of the Holy Ghost creating within the Church that other Christ, the Priest, and conferring the plentitude of the Priesthood on the Bishops.

Seventh Mystery

Let us honour the operation of the Holy Ghost and adore Him in the heroic virtue of the saints in the Church, that hidden and marvelous work of the "Adorable Sanctifier".

8) To complete, pray the "Hail Holy Queen" in honour of the Blessed Virgin, Our Heavenly Queen who presided in the Cenacle on the great Sunday of Pentecost.

Recite this chaplet:
-very often, even every day
-especially on Sundays
-when an important decision is to be made, grave moments or when spiritual help is required
-every day during recollections or retreats
-in preparation of the Feast of Pentecost
